Your Borrowed Stardust
August 26, 20:00–23:15
Three opportunities in one night, three journeys into the unknown, each its own perturbation, each being a unique signal.
Choose your entry:
Primordial 20:00–20:45
; Binary 21:15–22:00
; Collision 22:30–23:15 (incl. bar reception afterwards). Holding us at the event horizon, this performance is an invitation to journey playfully into how we generate meaning as part of our cosmos — a recalibration of perception and praxis, embodying the stardust we borrow and will return to.
Black Holes: When Light Falls In
The Round Tower, August 26, 19:00
Black holes are some of the strangest objects in the universe, but what are these invisible giants that bend space, trap light, and challenge everything we know about physics? Join us at the Round Tower for an exciting journey to explore these mysterious objects and discover how physicists uncover the secrets of black holes.
Dune: Between Science and Fiction
August 27 (Time TBC)
Where does science end and science fiction begin? Dune, one of the most iconic sci-fi stories of the 20th century, imagines a distant future shaped by technology and the laws of nature. Before the screening, a physicist of the Center of Gravity will introduce the real science of gravity, exploring how these scientific ideas, together with our understanding of the universe around us, inspire the worlds we imagine on the screen.
Science & Cocktails
DR Koncerthuset, August 29, 19:00
Come and join us for a cocktail, while some of the world-leading figures in science explain what black holes are, how we see them and why we want to know them. A mojito will do. More information can be found here.
