Vitor joined the William H. Miller III Department of Physics & Astronomy at Johns Hopkins University, as a Bearden Distinguished Lecturer in 2025.

As a Bearden Distinguished Lecturer, he presented a Department Colloquium on Testing General Relativity with Gravitational Waves. During this time, Vitor joined active discussions on the physics of strong gravitational fields with colleagues. The group at Johns Hopkins has been making great work under the tutelage of Emanuele Berti, a long time friend and collaborator of Vitor’s.
