The Einstein Telescope is a third generation gravitational wave observatory that is planned to be built in Europe. A true discovery machine, the Einstein Telescope will capture faint ripples in spacetime to reveal black holes, neutron stars, dark matter/energy—and test Einstein's theory of gravity in the most extreme cosmic laboratories. Interviewed by Jens Degett from Science Stories, Niels Obers talks about these exciting scientific prospects as well as the technological complexity of this future instrument.
