Lorena Gives Public Lecture at IDA Space

On Monday, October 31, Lorena Magaña Zertuche gave a presentation on black holes to a room full of curious minds, taking the audience from the building blocks of black hole physics to her research on spectroscopy and her career path. This was followed by an excellent Q&A session.

Denmark’s newly established European Space Agency (ESA) Academy Hub, in collaboration with the Danish Astronautical Society and IDA Space, is bringing events and lectures focused on the theme of space to students who aspire to pursue a career in related fields. Lorena’s talk was part of one of these events focusing on women in space, which is meant to inspire women in STEM and connect the inspiration to the possibilities that ESA Academy offers for students who wish to expand their technical horizons with hands-on experiences.
