Lorena Awarded DDSA Postdoc Fellowship

Lorena Magaña Zertuche has been awarded one of the six Danish Data Science Academy (DDSA) Postdoc Fellowships for 2026. The Danish Data Science Academy, funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation and VILLUM FONDEN, aims to strengthen the data science community in Denmark through interdisciplinary collaborations across universities, hospitals, and industry.

The new DDSA Fellows were selected following a thorough assessment and interview process conducted by the DDSA Fellowship Evaluation Committee and subsequently approved by the DDSA Board of Directors. The 2026 call attracted 85 applications from researchers across a wide range of disciplines, reflecting the growing importance of data science in fields spanning from Cloud Computing to Quantum Chemistry and from Generative Protein Design to Trustworthy AI. Lorena’s fellowship project will focus on testing General Relativity with the space-based LISA mission.
