Jaime Redondo-Yuste successfully defended his thesis on Friday March 6th. He presented his work on Nonlinear Dynamics in General Relativity in the historic Auditorium A, summarizing his work on black hole and neutron star physics. He advanced the understanding of nonlinear effects governing the relaxation of black holes to equilibrium, and developed foundational work to understand how viscosity impacts the dynamics of neutron stars, highlighting key observational implications. His thesis was supervised by Vitor Cardoso.

The presentation was followed by questions by the committee, consisting of Dr. Beatrice Bonga (Radboud University in Nijmegen) Dr. Elias Most (Caltech), and Dr. Maarten van de Meent (NBI), triggering interesting discussions. Colleagues and friends gathered to celebrate the moment enjoying a rare sunny and warm March day in Copenhagen.
