Evelyn to Defend her PhD Thesis
After four years at the Niels Bohr Institute, Evelyn is getting ready to defend her PhD thesis! Throughout her time with the group, she has made important advancements to our understanding of the AdS/CFT correspondence and gravity.
Her research explores the connections between quantum physics and gravity, focusing on the semiclassical gravitational descriptions that emerge from quantum theories. Her work spans two complementary directions, the study of quantum field theories connected to non-relativistic strings via holography, and the investigation of how quantum matter fields influence the dynamics of classical black holes.
Evelyn will defend her PhD thesis on 9 November 2026 at the Niels Bohr Institute, in meeting room Hb1.
